All about Sophie Mei..

Sophie Mei just loves to dance, act, write and perform. She started belly dancing when she was 14 years old at a local women’s belly dance club.

Over the years Sophie would seek out any opportunities to learn more and became one of the youngest belly dancing instructors at the age of 18. Sophie also enjoys other forms of dance, from street dance to Bollywood.

Sophie finds it hard to turn down opportunities when it comes to drama or the chance of being on stage and is also an established actress. She has recently appeared in productions at the West Yorkshire Play House (Leeds), The Crucible Theatre (Sheffield) and Contact Theatre (Manchester).

Sophie has appeared in various commercials, radio programmes and collaborated in various Professional Music videos which are soon to be released. She has recently presented her very own documentary for Yorkshire Television in Cairo. And 'Sophie Mei' is now an actual business!

Sophie is studying Philosophy and Italian at The University of Manchester as she hopes to become a broadcast journalist.
For Sophie it’s important to do really well at university so while she gets involved in just about every opportunity there is, she's still committed to her education!
